This morning we revisited past conversations with John Mellencamp who returns to Denver this Sunday to play at Red Rocks.
Yesterday Matt Nathanson came to Studio C and talked with Ginger. We replayed their conversation and heard him perform "Come On Get Higher."

The Alarms—"Rain in the Summertime"

The Sage of World Class Rock was back this morning. For those lucky enough to stump the Sage, he had a variety of getaway packages that included V.I.P. tickets to the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival , an overnight stay in Aspen and two tickets on Southwest Airlines.

The Byrds—"Lovers of the Bayou"

This morning we talked with keyboardist Chuck Leavell about his current project with the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History , an exhibit called "Dig It! The Secrets of Soil," which opened this past weekend and will be on display for two years.
Bret also talked to rock star Gene Simmons about his new book, "Ladies of the Night: A Historical and Personal Perspective on the Oldest Profession in the World."

This morning Bret talked to Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart about his DVD "Rhythm Devils" documenting his recent musical project with The Rhythm Devils.
Bret also talked with author and columnist Dan Gardner)  about his new book "The Science of Fear") which explains why we fear things we shouldn't and put ourselves in greater danger.
